When looking for products from China Many businesses often start with a question:
“How much does this factory sell for?”
But actually factory gate price is only a part of the total cost
If you don’t see everything from the beginning The price seems to be cheaper. It may become more expensive when the product reaches Thailand immediately.
At FJ Sourcing, we therefore don’t help customers just “find a factory” but help look at risks from origin to destination.
- Factory costs and risks
- MOQ is higher than expected.
- Specifications do not match what was agreed upon.
- Raw materials or product grades are not correct.
- Packaging is not suitable for transportation.
- Good sample lot. But the actual production lot changes quality.
- Mold / Sample / Packing fees will be added later.
The cheapest price is therefore not necessarily the most worthwhile supplier.
- Wrong specs = very expensive costs
Especially industrial products such as
Steel, aluminum, stainless steel, pipes, machinery, or products manufactured according to design.
Just specifying the wrong Grade / Thickness / Dimension / Material / Standard may cause the entire lot of products to be unusable.
FJ Sourcing helps coordinate specs with the factory and can arrange QC before sending products out of China. To reduce the risk before traveling to Thailand
- Transportation costs are not just freight.
Another issue that many buyers encounter is Get a cheap freight price. But later there are additional expenses such as
- Local Charges
- THC
- Documentation Fee
- D/O
- Customs Clearance
- Trucking costs
- Storage
- Demurrage / Detention
Sometimes the original price is cheap. But instead add the destination service fee.
This point is another matter that FJ Sourcing places great importance on.
We have experience working and coordinating with many types of Logistics / Freight Forwarder companies, therefore helping customers. Check conditions and compare costs before deciding
It’s not like you see the freight is cheap and immediately reserve it, but you have to see that
“Finally, the product reaches our hands. What is the total cost?”
Helps reduce the risk from The service fee is not clear. Additional expenses later or conditions that the buyer did not know from the beginning
- HS Code and taxes must be known before ordering.
Before importing products You should clearly check that
What is the HS Code?
How many % import duty?
Are there any Anti-Dumping measures?
Are there any additional licenses or standards required?
Can I use FTA rights such as Form E?
Because even though you can buy products very cheaply But if you come across taxes or requirements that haven’t been calculated, the Margin you thought you’d get could disappear immediately.
